What is the Kansas Music Teachers On-Line Community?

A Yahoo Group established to provide a place to ask questions, share ideas, ’talk shop’ and get to know fellow music teachers across the state. Group membership is open to any Kansas music teacher, whether they are a KMTA member or not.

How Do I Become a Part of the Kansas Music Teachers On-Line Community?

There are three membership options available (all are completely free!):

  1. E-Mail Subscriber. Subscribe by sending a blank e-mail to the group subscription address . You will receive a welcome e-mail, indicating that your subscription was processed. All e-mails sent to the group e-mail address will be sent to the e-mail address of every subscriber, thus all members have the ability to participate in discussions, ask questions, share ideas, etc. just by sending an e-mail to the afore-mentioned address.

  2. On-Line Subscriber. Set up an account at Yahoo and login. Go to the Kansas Music Teachers Group home page. Click the “Join this Group!” button located to the right of the group description. Click the links in the left sidebar to view the group messages, files, photos, etc. You can also upload files, photos, links, etc. that you want to share with other group members. Group messages may be viewed and replied to at leisure. Please note: Members who sign up for an on-line account can still elect to have group messages sent to their e-mail inbox by completing the simple instruction in Option 1 listed above.
  3. Daily Digest Subscriber. Complete the steps for Membership Option Number 2. When given the message delivery options, select Daily Digest. This will cause a compilation of the group's e-mail messages to be sent to your inbox at the end of each day, rather than having the individual e-mails sent to your inbox. Please note: Daily Digest Subscribers may find it difficult to participate in the discussions.
